Summary:
Digest Publishing is seeking a highly motivated and resourceful Web Production Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for content management and possess strong attention to detail and workflow efficiency skills. They will be responsible for producing daily email newsletters and web content to support reader engagement, signups, sales and help grow our business. They will collaborate very closely with the Chief Operations Officer as well as their counterpart Marketing Associate, but will have an emphasized focus on editorial management and paid fulfillment efforts with occasional cross-support for monetization and marketing efforts.
The position is remote, with full-time colleagues in Austin, Baltimore, Philadelphia, San Diego, Indianapolis, and Spokane. Responsibilities:
- Own email and website production tasks within our custom content management system and third party tools. Note: most website production tasks will not require extensive code knowledge (although familiarity with basic CSS/HTML is a plus).
- Optimize website content for search engine optimization best practices and in alignment with content management strategy on all websites.
- Lead the management of daily email newsletter and web content provided by the team, working closely with Editors and Marketing Associate.
- Create editorial content outlines in preparation for upcoming promotions, working closely with Publisher, Chief Operations Officer.
- Coordinate website content updates required after launching promotional campaigns, working closely with Editors and Marketing Associate.
- Partner with editorial to launch and promote quarterly call-in webinars using custom and third-party tools.
- Craft and execute scheduled emails, triggered emails, and/or web content as needed using HTML and CSS best practices.
- Support execution, tracking, and refinement of promotional efforts and corresponding marketing campaigns.
- Implement and execute special projects and automated marketing processes within the customer data platform in partnership with the Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Operations Officer.
- Conduct and refine workflow automation processes as they relate to responsibilities, working closely with the Chief Operations Officer.
- Create and maintain project and process documentation in collaboration with the Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Operations Officer.
- Maintain knowledge of current website trends and best practices across channels, proposing new ideas or tactics to try as they arise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in email and web production.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices.
- Fundamental understanding of link tracking and HTML/CSS concepts.
- Ability to work within a team and independently.
- Resourceful and able to troubleshoot issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Motivated and ready to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Experience managing email marketing content is a plus.
- Experience working in email marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) is a plus.
- Experience working in ad platforms (e.g., Google Ads) is a plus.
- Experience working in any Google Marketing Platform (e.g., Analytics, Search Console, Tag Manager) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of and genuine interest in finance and investing is preferred.
